Mitsubishi Truck Parts: Quality Components for Over a Century
When you say the word Mitsubishi, it can mean a lot of things. After all, the Mitsubishi is a brand that is used by a lot of companies. Mitsubishi, in fact, is actually a Japanese conglomerate that consists of many and varied autonomous companies and businesses which share the Mitsubishi brand and trademark. And aside from the Mitsubishi trademark, these companies have a common legacy and tradition of excellence which dates back as far as the 19th century.
The first Mitsubishi Company was a shipping firm founded by Yataro Iwasaki in 1873, with the name Mitsubishi Shokai. Later, Mitsubishi expanded to include coal mining, shipbuilding, banking, insurance, warehousing and trade, and had a diverse array of products ranging from paper, steel, electrical parts, automobiles, and even aircraft. The i-MiEV available to the masses
Although Mitsubishi’s i-MiEV has been available in Japan since 2009 it has only just hit used Mitsubishi dealers in the UK this month. The i-MiEV is the first pure-electric vehicle (EV) available to world markets in regular series production from a major manufacturer. In the motoring industry the i-MiEV can be classed as a revolution and a product of Mitsubishi’s sub brand “Intelligent Motion” which aims to reduce CO2 output on a global scale. For consumers it is a revolution as well, the fully electric car concept has been around for many years and now finally we the consumer can buy a fully electric Mitsubishi from a local dealer – just as we would with a traditional vehicle. Mitsubishi also provide Peugeot and Citroen with their respective EV models based entirely on the i-MiEV.
Mitsubishi’s model is the only car at the moment that can be purchased outright. UK customers benefit from the government’s Plug-In Car Grant (P-ICG) of £5,000, therefore the outright purchase price of the Mitsubishi i-MiEV is £23,990. As well as consumers being able to purchase outright, Mitsubishi Contract Motoring offers a competitive finance package on a non-maintained contract hire basis over a 48 month period for £399 per month. Independent motoring advisors CAP have predicted that the Mitsubishi i-MiEV will retain 43% of its on the road price after the £5,000 government incentive P-ICG and after three years and 30,000 miles which is better than most combustion engine models currently on the market. Not only is the i-MiEV the first fully electric vehicle available to the masses, it is also the first EV model to have been crash tested by Euro NCAP and receive a respectable four star rating. The Mitsubishi Colt: Sink or Swim?
The Mitsubishi Colt is yet another hatchback that has found itself lumped in with a myriad of others in the saturated supermini market. This market is very much sink or swim recently and to stay afloat your car has got to have something a little different or special to attract interest. So will the Mitsubishi Colt be riding along on the crest of a wave or sinking irretrievably amidst the gloomy waters of supermini failure?
The first impression is suitably impressive as the exterior ticks boxes you wouldn’t expect it to, as it manages to look solid and chunky yet you can be sure that you will be able to fit it into all but the very tightest of parking spaces. It has a tall roof that means that there will be enough room to comfortably seat at least 4 6-foot+ adults; reassuring news if you were ferrying guests to a medical giant’s convention.
The interior is relatively basic, but looks smart enough and appears to be of a high manufacturing standard and all the plastics are rigid and will stand up to ham-fisted testing. The seating is perhaps a little too firm, which makes long journeys a little undesirable, but as these cars are primarily designed for short city driving, this isn’t too much of a pressing concern. 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander Ls 4wd Sets Its Identity
Because some people think of SUVs, like the Montero, while others think of the Lancer Evolution high-performance rally replica whenever the name Mitsubishi is heard, the company has set its identity with its second-generation 2007 Outlander.
Mitsubishi has merged an SUV with a rally car. The new Outlander has its four-wheel drive system, which is meant more for traction and cornering on pavement than traditional four-wheeling. Though the mid-size, middle-class crossover field is already crowded due to its competitiveness, the 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander LS 4WD stands out with its sporty abilities. Its poise comes in handy for safety and security on slipperier surfaces as well, whether they are dirt or gravel roads or snow. Continue reading
